2013.

It's been a year since I've blogged on here.
Do you know the things that can happen in one year when you're a 20 year old college hooligan in this day and age?

Let me tell ya.

sisters abandon you and get hitched

brothers leave you secret messages on your typewriter before taking off for South America to serve the people of Chile

You become a Wild Thornberry and connect with animals on spiritual levels

You tell your mother you're dating Jesus after your wisdom teeth surgery

You realize you're the only one in this photo of your freshman roommates that isn't married yet

You get to take engagements and be a bridesmaid for a favorite friend

you come across old flames?????

and you continue to attempt to seduce all of your professors (no luck yet).

You also hike...a lot.

Next thing you know you're graduating in a year, working at Victoria's Secret and going antique store shopping on the weekends. They didn't say all of this would happen in college during An Extremely Goofy Movie. Note to future college students: there are slim odds of you joining the college X games and going to class with your dad.

RIP summer 2012

Went big the last few days I spent on the west coast with some good company :)

It was on this day that i kicked a fish while snorkeling in Catalina
Slightly proud of myself, slightly disgusted.

Spent my last night home catching a concert, running away from security guards, sneaking into vip sections, and enjoying every second of california.

Rest in peace summer 2012.
We did good.

Concrete Jungle

If there's one philo I've always abided by in my life, it's that avoidance is key.

I practice what I preach, so Mother Hen and I ran away from work and the approaching school year to conquer New York for the weekend.
Already making plans on moving there postgrad.

Half way done with this excellent read

Conquering Chinatown/ Little Italy

9/11 memorial

Ferry to Staten Island

Because Chipotle must be eaten in every state I'm in

Times Square

Crumbs

My one true love, the United Nations

conquering the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Empire State

People watching in grand central

Exploring this concrete jungle has only made me more excited about the future

Speaking of futures, found out on the subway that my wild wild sister got engaged to her sweet love!

What a couple, eh? :)

summer adventures

So so happy this summer.

Been out exploring a good amount.
Besides the mosquito bites and spiders that are unearthly sizes, no complaints :)

I've sat in on some great bonfires, napped in some surprisingly comfortable hammocks,
but most importantly, learned the pains of having sweat in my eyes.
I wouldn't recommend that last one.

Adventures that await:

water skiing: take 2
flying planes (by that i mean sitting in a plane with goggles and a scarf looking noble)
free diving in Catalina
THE k woww and her lover boy returning to the homeland <33
exploring nyc

I've learned that summers with the right people are prime.
Stay golden, folks :)
