summer adventures

So so happy this summer.

Been out exploring a good amount.
Besides the mosquito bites and spiders that are unearthly sizes, no complaints :)

I've sat in on some great bonfires, napped in some surprisingly comfortable hammocks,
but most importantly, learned the pains of having sweat in my eyes.
I wouldn't recommend that last one.

Adventures that await:

water skiing: take 2
flying planes (by that i mean sitting in a plane with goggles and a scarf looking noble)
free diving in Catalina
THE k woww and her lover boy returning to the homeland <33
exploring nyc

I've learned that summers with the right people are prime.
Stay golden, folks :)

Oh, America.

Alas, I have returned from Spain. Hello free refills, water cups, and in n out.

Even though there's no place like home, I keep finding myself reaching into my pocketful of memories for some grins and daydreams every now and then :)

Part of me is still overseas.
A couple seashells off the coast of Valencia sitting on my shelf remind me everyday.

Home is always the tops, though :)

congratulations to my cousin for reaching the rank of an Eagle Scout. Going camping with him this weekend :) by that I mean I will give him all of the opportunities in the world to use his scouting knowledge to build my tent and blow up my air mattress.

Happy days ahead!

Sunny, Sunny Spain

Sunny days call for sunny adventures

Seeing flamenco shows, going to the theatre,
and catching Europe's largest flea market are all good fun,
but there's something about just getting lost in a city like this.

Portugal. the country

Took off to Portugal for a bit last week with some friends
What a beaut.
Palaces and castles and music and landscapes
also way too much ice cream.
no regrets.

Was delighted to find out how similar portuguese is to spanish
What i thought would be a wall barrier between languages turned out to be more of a fence.
Definitely made for some interesting conversations.

My favorite thing besides making friends with our waiter was this:

No picture will ever do justice to the greatest view of Europe I've seen yet. Stop by Lisbon and Sintra if you get a chance at Portugal.
It was a good time.

Te amo, Paris.

Well, that was unforgettable.
Paris was a remarkable host this weekend
don't believe me? ask the dishes ;)

Arc de triomphe waved hello once we landed

Champs-Elysees wore its diamonds at sunset

La Tour Eiffel wrapped its arms around us for a photo

chocolate tarts winked at me everyday

the opera house showed off its majesty and royalty

the streets smiled with colors every night

The Louvre didn't mind being touched

Love locks whispered sweet nothings in our ears

Paris rain played the sweetest music when meeting up with an old friend

Sainte-Chapelle's stained glass played tag with the sunlight all day

Oscar Wilde (finally) kissed me back

Notre Dame knew my love for arches too well

le crepes kept seducing me

Beautiful city, beautiful experience.
I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
